正德路，西丽湖园区入门之主干道，亦为园区中轴。其名取自《尚书·大禹谟》“正德厚生”之训，意为尽人之性以正人德，尽物之性以正物德。以“正德”为名，旨在勉励师生进学以正德为先，筑牢立德树人之根基。此路作为入园主道，亦指引师生以德为基、以德导术、以道驭技，方能不负时代使命、堪当家国重任。
Zhengde Road is the main entrance avenue of theXili Campus(Xili Lake Area)and also serves as the central axis of thecampus area. Its name is derived from The Book of Documents from Shangshu(Counsels of the Great Yu):“to rectify virtue and promote the well-being of the people,”, meaning to fully develop human nature to cultivate moral virtue, and to fully develop the nature of things to cultivate their proper function. Naming it“Zhengde”aims to encourage faculty, staff, and students to prioritize moral virtue in their lives and to solidify the foundation for fostering virtue and educating people. As theprimary route into the campus, it alsosymbolicallyguides the community to base their actions on virtue, to let virtue guide their academic goals, and to use moral principles to govern their professional development, enabling them to fulfill the responsibilities of the era and uphold responsibility to society.
