日新楼，1995年建成，为西丽湖园区教学楼群。其前身为1994年4月28日奠基之首栋教学大楼，此日亦定为校庆日。楼名“日新”出自《礼记·大学》“苟日新，日日新，又日新”，寓意勉励学子日新其德、日新其学。外立面“今日我以深职大为荣，明日深职大以我为荣”之语，于1996年由设计与艺术学部师生亲手敷贴，已成深职人共同精神印记。建筑色调白蓝为主，呼应工业风格，承载学校自强日新之初心。
The Rixin Building, completed in 1995, ispartof the teaching complex in Xili Campus (Xili Lake Area). Its predecessor was the first teaching building, whose foundation was laid on April 28, 1994—a date that was later designated as the University’s anniversary. The name“Rixin”comes from The Great Learning in The Book of Rites:“If one can improve oneself in one day, let one do so every day. Let there be daily renewal, and again daily renewal.”These words encourage students to continuously improve their morals and deepen their learning. Faculties and students from the School of Design and Art in 1996 affixed these words on the building’s facade:“Today I am proud of Shenzhen Polytechnic University,and tomorrow Shenzhen Polytechnic University will be proud of me”, with hopes to inspire and uplift the spirit of the University. The building’s color scheme is primarily white and blue, echoing an industrial style and embodying the University’s enduring commitment to self-improvementand continuous renewal.
