柳园，坐落于西丽湖园区，集学生公寓与书院功用于一体。各楼依次而建：C、D栋建于1995年，E栋次年竣工，F、G栋于1997年落成，A、B栋则至2021年建成，见证校园住宿空间之迭新。以“柳”为名，既因邻近东湖沿岸植有金钱柳，取其“碧玉妆成一树高”之清韵；又深寓人文之思：柳枝柔韧，随风不折，喻学子当养通达之智、坚毅之品；柳树年年抽新，象征学问与生机生生不息，勉励学子日新其德，终成良材。
Liuyuan Student Residential Complex is located in Xili Campus (Xili Lake Area), student dormitories with residential college function integrate as one. The buildings were constructed sequentially: Buildings C and D in 1995, Building E the following year, Buildings F and G were finished in 1997, while Buildings A and B were not completed until 2021, marking the evolution of campus residential spaces. The name“Liuyuan”(Willow Garden)stems from the cyclocarya paliurus trees (money willow tree) found along the banks of East Lake,evoking the poetic lineatree adorned in jade-green silk(from He Zhizhang’sOde to the Willow).The willow tree yields to the wind but won’t break,symbolize the intellectual openness and resilient character that students are encouraged to cultivate. The willow tree sprouts new growth every year, representing the endless cycle of knowledge and vitality, encouraging students to renew their virtues daily and ultimately become excellent individuals.
