思维火焰雕塑，2009年建成，立于西丽湖园区日新楼前，由当时印刷传播系青年教师谭昕创意设计、杨爱君等教师制作完成。作品以不锈钢为材质，高六米，三组形态首尾相衔、回环相连，构成无始无终的浑圆闭环，整体施以热烈正红，形如升腾火焰，形具张力、色涌生机。其名与造型深意相融，寓意学校创新发展无限延展，向上追求永无止境。火焰既象征师生思维之敏捷活跃，更凝铸自强不息、薪传不辍的深职精神。
The Flame of Thought Sculpture, completed in 2009, stands in front of the Rixin Building in Xili Campus(Xili Lake Area).It was designed by Tan Xin, a young teacher of the Department of Printing and Communication, and later produced by Yang Aijun and other faculty members. Made of stainless steel, the six-meter-tall sculpture has three flames connecting end to end, forming a continuous loop with no beginning or end. Itis painted in a vibrantred,resembling rising flames and conveying a strong sense of movement and vitality.Both its name and formcarry symbolic meaning. The sculpture represents the University’s spirit of continuous innovation and its unceasing pursuit of progress and excellence.The image of the flame also symbolizes the vitality and dynamism of the thoughts of its teachers and students, while embodying the enduring spirit of self-improvement, perseverance, and the passing on of knowledge from generation to generation that characterizes Shenzhen Polytechnic University.
